About Us
What began in 1971 as a safe haven for youth has grown into a full-service resource for individuals and families in need. In 2006, we opened the doors to our dedicated shelter facility at 901 W. 18th Street in Ada, where we continue to offer refuge and support to youth during critical times. In 2017, we changed our name from Area Youth Shelter to Unity Point Counseling to better reflect the broad scope of services we now provide. Today, Unity Point offers counseling, support groups, and comprehensive mental health assessments for individuals of all ages and backgrounds—serving not only youth, but the entire community with compassion and care.

New Beginnings is a compassionate resource center dedicated to supporting families by providing essential necessities and a listening ear. While mothers receive guidance, emotional support, and access to community resources, on-site child care is provided to ensure a safe and supportive environment for the entire family.
OUR MISSION
